New Pharmacy Web Show, "Hard to Swallow", needs your support

Two independent producers have created a series called "Hard to Swallow", which is based on the experiences of working the front counter of a central California retail pharmacy. The creators have completed a pilot and have received enthusiastic support from fans who feel that the pharmacy community is ignored in the media (seriously, pick a medical based drama or comedy and count how many references the pharmacy gets. When we do get a mention, it often is not flattering. I'm thinking of the way the pharmacists and techs are portrayed in House).

They would like to film more episodes, and they are currently raising money to do so. They have put their show on Kickstarter, which is a community fund-raising site. I encourage you to visit the site and make a pledge. If you can't spare the change, please spread the word to others and broaden awareness of this worthy endeavor. You will be supporting both independent film and a better portrayal of our profession.

Why is the pharmacist such an ass to his techs? And why are the techs portrayed as lazy, bumbling idiots? This was not funny nor accurate.

I guess they are trying to reach the audience through comedy. It's always effective to use comedy to reach an audience that normally doesn't have any knowledge in the field.

You people have GOT to be kidding, right? The seven clip was idiotic, and did not realistically protray the goings one, of a day to day pharmacy.. the acting (if you call it that) eas least to be desired.. the cutie pie hispanic pharmacy tech was adorable, but her character using foul language (in spanish to a customer, was not only unthetical, but completely unproffesional) this type of activity, is NOT what happens in a pharmacy.. if you are going to use the format of comedy,to describe the personal interactions of techs, and coworkers, and customers, please do so with a lot more accuracy, and respect to the proffesion...
I simply found the pilot a joke, and in very poor taste.. followed with terrible acting .. the only exception, was the adorable hispanic tech.. she was the only person worth watching.. and that was only because she was a cutie, not because of her acting.
