The Gel (Good Experience Live) conference series, a seven-year-old event curated by Mark Hurst, is launching a new healthcare event - Gel Health - a conference focused on the patient experience. Gel Health will be held on Thursday and Friday, October 22 and 23, 2009 at Scandinavia House, Park Avenue and 38th Street in Manhattan.

"In this time of spiraling health care costs, and the national conversation on reform, Gel Health will provide a place to talk about what really matters: the patient," said Mark Hurst.

Over the course of two days a diverse group of speakers will offer over a dozen presentations on the patient experience: who’s improving it, and how? What approaches are being taken in various healthcare disciplines.

Thursday speakers will present 20-minute talks in the theater. Throughout the day, attendees will have many opportunities to meet the speakers, and other attendees, who are the innovators in this growing field of patient-centered healthcare.

Catering on Thursday will be provided by Cleaver Company, a New York-based organic caterer that uses locally sourced, seasonal ingredients for the highest nutritional value and lowest environmental impact.

On Friday, Gel Health will offer attendee-led seminars and workshops for "deep dives" on specific themes and topics from the conference.

Gel Health tickets are available at www.gelconference.com/health for $499 or visit the registration page.
